Mohawk Plans Major Business Expansion in Ohio

Up to 100 full-time positions available as Mohawk ramps up envelope converting operations

Cohoes, NY – Mohawk, North America’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of fine papers, envelopes and specialty substrates for commercial and digital printing, announces a job fair to be held at Infinity Resources, Inc., 2608 West Prospect in Ashtabula, Ohio, on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.   Additional recruiting sessions will be held at the same location on Tuesday, Jan. 7, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Up to 100 full-time positions are available as Mohawk grows its envelope operation from a standard eight-hour day, five days per week schedule to a new three-shift-per-day, seven days per week model.

With the expansion, Mohawk is investing millions of dollars in converting equipment upgrades in the company’s state-of-the-art, one million square-foot converting center located in Ashtabula, Ohio, with plans to expand its envelope output in 2014. 

Mohawk is looking to fill up to 100 full-time positions immediately, including the following roles:

  • Envelope Adjusters
  • Material Handlers
  • Envelope Operators
  • Envelope Die Cutters
  • Maintenance Technicians

Job fair attendees will have the opportunity to apply on-site, and attendees should bring the following items to the job fair:

  • Valid driver’s license or state photo ID
  • A Second form of identification
  • Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED
