Press release from the issuing company
Chicago, IL – This holiday season, GPA turned their Christmas tree into a Giving Tree for the Alliance for Children’s “Wishes to Santa” program to help provide children in need with new clothes and toys for the holidays.
GPA employees chose a child who was represented by a tag on their Christmas tree, and either purchased the gifts listed on the tag, or made a monetary contribution toward the purchase of gifts. The children’s wish lists contain nothing extravagant; mostly necessities that many people take for granted.
For 25 years, the Alliance for Children has been working to supply children across the country with basic needs to help with their wellness, health and education. The Alliance works collaboratively with program directors and school administrators to identify families and children who are most in need of intervention. It has no paid employees, and is run by volunteers who donate their time to help children with disabilities, cancer, and those who have been abused and are in crisis.
