Bowne Executive Inducted Into YWCA Academy of Women Achievers

NEW YORK, Nov. 20 -- The YWCA of the City of New York has inducted Livia Davis, an executive from Bowne & Co., into its Academy of Women Achievers, at its 30th Anniversary Celebration luncheon today in New York City. The Academy is a distinguished group of more than 2,000 of the country's most prominent women recognized for their outstanding professional accomplishments. Bowne is a global leader in delivering high-value document management solutions. Livia Davis, Division Director, Bowne Business Solutions, is being honored for leading mentoring programs at Bowne as well as within her community; establishing an executive women's group; facilitating diversity-related employee discussions and serving as a role model and support resource for co-workers. She is among the 75 executive women chosen for the Academy's Class of 2003. "Bowne's industry leadership is the result, in large part, of the outstanding efforts and diverse talents of executives such as Livia," said Chairman and CEO Robert M. Johnson. "As this year's Bowne inductee, Livia's contributions as an inspirational mentor at Bowne as well as within her community are being recognized. We are all extremely proud of her." Bowne nominees to the Academy are chosen for their demonstrated leadership in managing change and the reflection of Bowne's values in their business responsibilities and personal lives.
