PPC’s Financial Executives Institute and Human Resources Forum Opens to Non-Members

Press release from the issuing company

SPRINGFIELD, MA - From January 27-29, 2014, the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) will hold the Financial Executives Institute and Human Resources Forum at the Marriott Hotel in Miami, FL.

Designed for financial executives and human resources managers working in roles with paperboard packaging converters and suppliers, at the Forum, industry experts will discuss business continuity planning after a disaster, internet security, plant security, and more. There will also be presentations on lessons learned recovering from catastrophe and the changes that come along with instituting a company-wide wellness program.

In addition, participants will receive an in-depth update on the Affordable Care Act, and attendees will receive a brief overview on both human resources and finance in the industry, so as to better understand where their roles align and differ.

Of special note is the tour of PPC member Vista Color Corporation’s new, state-of-the-art facility in Doral, FL. Built in 2013, the 75,000-square-foot plant operates with the latest equipment, including a new Heidelberg XL-106 seven-color UV-hybrid sheetfed press and a dual rotary Maxson sheeter.

“This combined forum offers an opportunity to share ideas and solve common problems with colleagues,” said Ben Markens, President of PPC. “In addition to the relevant content, the chance to tour a new plant is unique. Seeing how another plant runs is invaluable, and we’re grateful for Vista Color for the invitation.”

The meeting is open to both members and non-members. For more info or to register, visit www.paperbox.org/FEIHR.
