JR Press UK Switches from Schneider to Polar

Press release from the issuing company

Sustainability-minded B3 packaging printer JR Press has turned to Heidelberg for its latest investment, a Polar 78 ECO guillotine which is being used to pre-cut boards and finished printed work in equal parts.

It is some years since the company bought equipment from Heidelberg, but the business owner Geoff Fone says he felt confident in the advice he was given and  his research had convinced him that this was the best guillotine for his company’s needs and the price was fair.

“We are investing to keep our machinery current. The Polar was the best equipment on the market. What mattered most to us was the ease of use and programming functions along with build quality. Price came in after that and, given that we wanted a premium product, we believe this offers fair value for money,” says Mr Fone.

The Polar guillotine has been delivered to the company’s new premises in Daventry and operates flexible day shifts, running to the company’s high quality and service standards.  The business has been in operation for 25 years and specialises in short and medium run lengths.
