Tennant & Russell matches EFI with Metrix

Press release from the issuing company

Jacksonville, FL -  Tennant & Russell, LLC, a consulting company specializing in strategic moves for software companies within the printing industry, announced this morning the acquisition of Metrix, its client, by Electronics For Imaging, Inc., a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation.

Metrix, based in Edmonds, WA, is a leader in automated print planning and imposition technology. While financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, it is not expected to be material to EFI's Q4 or full-year 2013 results. The Metrix team has joined EFI, including CEO and founder Rohan Holt, who is now Director of EFI Metrix products.

"We were very pleased to be working with another well-respected and forward-thinking company like Metrix." said Tennant & Russell, President, James McCarthy. "Rohan and his team were very thorough and a pleasure to work with. They have a strong company and will be a great addition to the EFI team."

Metrix will join the EFI family and their expanding portfolio of industry-leading business automation technologies.  "Adding the Metrix team's exceptional talent and technical know-how helps us drive innovation even further, ensuring that EFI customers can continue to reduce the cost and improve the profitability of their printing operations," said Marc Olin, EFI's interim CFO and senior vice president and general manager of the company's Productivity Software business.

"EFI is the leader in print production workflow and I know our worldwide customer base will benefit enormously from the new level of integration with EFI's products," said Rohan Holt. Holt also spoke highly of Tennant & Russell.  In discussing the transaction Holt said, "The acquisition process can be very involved, time consuming and complicated, and we were delighted to have Jim and his team working alongside us.  They helped move the process very quickly from offer to closure."
