Mosaica Group Expands Milwaukee Printer’s Wide Format Offer with New Digital Cutter

Press release from the issuing company

Pressroom upgrade speeds up template production, lowers cost of short runs

Sussex, Wis. – The Mosaica Group, a graphic arts distributor serving companies throughout the Midwest, continues to help its partners expand in the growing wide format arena. Mosaica announced today that it has upgraded the wide format and digital print department of Milwaukee-based HM Graphics with a new DYSS X5 digital cutter, as well as a variety of consumables and the advanced GMG Production Suite workflow package.

The X5 digital cutter is one of a range of fast, powerful digital cutters and routers that

The Mosaica Group offers in its portfolio of wide format solutions. The machine is ideal for sample-making applications and features a range of sizes, all with low operating costs.

“Our customers continue to demand the best wide format technologies available, backed by unbeatable service and support,” said Randy Peters, president of The Mosaica Group. “Whether it’s reducing cost or expanding capacity, we have a broad range of wide format solutions, and are there for our partners every step of the way.”

Prior to the installation of the X5, the cost of short runs prohibited HM Graphics from quickly producing box or point-of-purchase displays. Templates could sometimes take as much as six hours to produce.

Now, the X5 digital cutter, paired with KASEMAKE design software, is allowing HM to expand its wide format offer of trade show displays, point-of-sale displays and packaging. The software offers more than 750 display templates, allowing more automation without taking a cookie cutter approach to design.

By automating basic functions and integrating the design process, KASEMAKE boosts workflow productivity. Designers can output custom designs in a matter of seconds, ready to export for prototyping and production on a digital cutter.

“The wide format enhancements have led to greater operational flexibility and increased our short run production,” said Jim Sandstrom, president of HM Graphics. “As a result, we’re spending less hours per project and seeing greater gains. Our partners at The Mosaica Group have certainly been an invaluable resource along the way, as well as a trusted supplier.”
