Oki Data Announces New PrintSuperVision.Net Software
Press release from the issuing company
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. - Oki Data Americas, Inc. today announced the release of the new PrintSuperVision.Net (PSV.Net), a complementary software solution that provides real-time status of networked printers. The software provides network administrators with the ability to monitor printing cost, and view maintenance of consumables such as drum, fusers and toner, as well as other vital signs for printers.
Designed by the OKI software team, the latest edition of OKI PrintSuperVision is a .Net server application, making it compatible with the latest Microsoft offerings, including standard .Net highlights, such as streamlined development time, firewall friendliness, and portability. PSV.Net is a Windows server application that can be installed on a Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 server within an enterprise. The software is easily downloaded from www.okidatacom at no cost from Oki Data and works with all networked OKI products, including color and mono printers, networked fax machines, and impact printers.
Created to make life easier for busy network administrators, OKI PSV.Net can help eliminate time-consuming printer maintenance duties and serves as a personal unit and supplies manager to help minimize work disruptions and keep everything on the network running smoothly.
"Oki Data understands that IT and office service management professionals don't have time to worry about managing their peripherals consumables," said Robert Shibata, Oki Data Senior Marketing Manager Solutions/Innovations. "PrintSuperVision.Net offers an easy, time saving desktop solution to printer maintenance, at no cost. Network managers can now maximize their printer usage by avoiding supply outages and save time by getting up-to-the-minute access to printer status information. With PSV.Net, businesses of all sizes no longer have to worry about tedious printer details and are free to focus on what matters most to them, their business."
PSV. Net is a highly flexible solution that can be tailored to a company's purchasing practices. PSV.Net sends reminder e-mails when it's time to order supplies and assists users with ordering supplies and consumables by linking directly to the Oki Data web site. PSV.Net will then create a printable list of the needed parts and supplies that can then be sent directly to the company purchasing department or faxed to a local Oki Data dealer.
The PSV.Net application is accessible from any popular web browser, by simply typing the correct URL. Users can also save the link in their "favorites" area for quick access.
The PrintSuperVision.Net is currently available for downloading. For more information on PSV.Net as well as OKI's full line of products andservices, visit www.okidata.com.
