Typecraft Completes Installation of HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press

Press release from the issuing company

Full-service commercial printer selects new press for short-run photo speciality applications

PALO ALTO, Calif. - HP today announced that Pasadena, Calif.-based Typecraft purchased the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press to produce short-run, photo-specialty applications, including photo books, brochures, dust jackets and custom marketing collateral.

Typecraft installed its first digital press in 2007 with an HP Indigo 5500 Digital Press to help expand its photo-focused application offerings. With jobs already lined up for the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, the company anticipates that the addition of the new press to its photo-printing portfolio will continue to drive new business growth and help diversify its portfolio of high-quality services.

“We installed the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press to help meet client demand for quality projects with short lead times,” said J.J. Gish, vice president, Typecraft. “We are committed to providing the highest level of quality to our clients and HP Indigo has proved to be the technology of choice in our industry. The new press allows us to offer products that surpass customers’ expectations with much faster turnaround times than traditional commercial printing technology."

A 2013 InterTechTM Technology Award winner, the 29-inch HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press enables oversized photo applications, with the capability to print at least twice as many photo pages per sheet as previous HP Indigo sheetfed presses. The press is compatible with a wide variety of substrates including coated, uncoated, colored, metallic, recycled and specialty papers.  Such a large variety of substrates helps print providers increase the quality and versatility of application offerings for the photo specialty market.
