Press release from the issuing company

Brussels – At Label Expo in Brussels, September 24-27, 2013, Scodix and Highcon will be highlighting new digital technologies that will enable folding carton packaging converters to differentiate themselves.  Together, HP, Highcon and Scodix will further stress the importance they place on the move towards digital packaging production.

Highcon and Scodix will be appearing on the HP booth, opposite the newly introduced HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press, to demonstrate the benefits of digital print enhancement and digital cutting and creasing to the process.

Highcon will be presenting the latest sample packages, including intricate cutout designs, printed on HP Indigo presses, enhanced on the Scodix and digitally cut and creased by the Highcon Euclid.

Live demos on the Highcon Euclid and the Scodix will be made at the Plantin bvba demo centre, 15 minutes away from the Label Expo venue, with shuttle buses arranged for interested visitors.

Scodix, the market leader in digital print enhancement offers solutions to commercial PSPs and folding carton packaging converters, as well as to trade finishers and W2P service providers.  The company recently introduced the new Scodix Ultra supporting high quality folding carton packaging converters.

Aviv Ratzman, CEO & Co-founder, Highcon:  “There is a need to provide added value to brand owners and to run away from price competition. Value can be created by meeting the demand for better shelf appearance, shorter runs, versioning, private label, reduced inventory and sustainability. All of these demands are supported by HP Indigo Digital Presses, Scodix digital enhancements and Highcon cutting and creasing and will be an important part of our joint vision of transforming the way cartons are converted.”

Kobi Bar, CEO & Co-founderScodix: “We are looking forward to demonstrating the capabilities of our digital enhancement presses which will be presented on our stand and at the demos at Plantin.  The added value we offer has already been received enthusiastically by digital printers worldwide, especially the newly launched Scodix Ultra. We can now offer the same Scodix clear advantage to folding carton converters.”

This Spa Diffuser package was designed by Glossop Cartons, digitally printed on an HP Indigo 10000 digital press, digitally enhanced by Scodix and digitally cut and creased on the Highcon Euclid
