Packaging Graphics has product management solutions covered with Make & Hold inventory program

Press release from the issuing company

Pawtucket, RI – Special promotions may provide the glitz factor but staple items account for the majority of packaging needs.  Products used daily in homes and offices need to be replenished on a year-round basis, and Packaging Graphics, a division of The MATLET Group, offers a custom made packaging solution that saves both time and money in the long run.

For 25 years, the Make & Hold inventory program has proven to be a successful venture for many customers.  Focused solely on the secondary packaging - folding cartons, blister and insert cards, and thermoforming - being shipped, Make & Hold allows customers to shorten lead times.  Greg Iannuccillo, Vice President of Sales, says 90 percent of customers also take advantage of the warehousing capabilities Packaging Graphics has to offer at its 300,000 square-foot facility.

“As a management solution, Make & Hold has many outstanding advantages for secondary packaging,” said Iannuccillo.  “With the ability to print larger runs, you get a better price with the larger volume since there are no repeat make-readies to factor and the same high quality and consistency.  We work with many consumer brands that produce razors, batteries and other such products that have an established pattern.  Our customers prepare their forecasts for a 12-16 week period, evaluate what remains in their inventory and then determine what they need.”

Packaging Graphics develops custom made solutions and offers multiple substrates to provide the most secure packaging.  Packaging Graphics is both ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, assuring the highest quality and environmental standards throughout the process and afterwards.

“We do some consignment work where inventory is delivered to a customer’s facility, but the majority of our clients keep their printed packaging with us,” remarked Iannuccillio.  “We customize a program for our customers that ranges anywhere from 30 to 180 days.  Once they need to fulfill their next order, the secondary packaging is ready to be shipped.”

Pat Pagani, President of Packaging Graphics, said the Just-in-Time factor is a valuable resource for any type of customer to consider.

“Make & Hold is a good program for any large volume company.  It just needs to be managed properly,” said Pagani.  “The other advantage for our customers is they can pay for it later.  They have the initial reduction in price up front with the size of the run, then can buy in bulk after they complete their forecasting for the next period.  Many of our customers have been doing this for an extended period of time and do it because it works.”
