New Kromekote Collection Swatchbook Unveiled to Print and Design Professionals

Press release from the issuing company

SUN PRAIRIE, Wisconsin - CTI Paper USA today launched a new swatchbook and print demonstration that showcases its Kromekote® Collection of super-premium cast-coated printing papers.  The combined swatchbook/print demo is now available exclusively to graphics professionals.

CTI Paper USA, one of North America’s largest suppliers of premium specialty papers, recently modernized and refreshed the ultra-glossy Kromekote Collection following acquisition of the brand earlier this year.  Kromekote products are available from authorized paper distributors in the U.S. and Canada or online at www.thepapermill.com.  Details on obtaining the new swatchbook can be found below.

The stunning new swatchbook provides samples, specs and stocking information on all papers in the Kromekote Collection—coated one-side and coated two-side sheets in a variety of weights and sizes, as well as Kromekote colors, foils and label papers.

FSC-certified Kromekote can be printed digitally on production-rated dry-toner equipment, on HP Indigo presses and on all offset presses.

Swatchbook testifies to Kromekote’s power to command attention

The swatchbook also serves as a compelling print demonstration that showcases the unrivaled quality and flexibility of Kromekote paper using a variety of printing techniques.  It also features printing and handling tips for print professionals.

The swatchbook cover features the thickest of the Kromekote coated two-side offer, a 15-pt. icy, blue-white board, with four-color printing, foil stamping and embossing.

An image of a fresh, shiny Red Delicious apple anchors the swatchbook cover.  The image features a sculpted emboss that seemingly lifts the apple off the page.  Fresh water droplets on the apple image highlight fine detail and provide extra dimension.

Other elements in the swatchbook spotlight a rounded embossing effect, silver metallic foil stamping, and embossed foils set against solid black print.

The swatchbook was designed by Gerard Design, Warrenville, IL, and printed by Fey Printing, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, on a 6-color, 40-inch Mitsubishi 3F press.

Details on the new Kromekote Collection

Kromekote is ideal for attention-grabbing print promotions, direct mail, brochures, book covers, business cards, presentation folders, invitations, greeting cards, retail packaging, labels and more.

For offset and dry-toner production equipment, the new Kromekote Collection features a “universal” coated one-side sheet and a coated two-side sheet in a variety of weights and sizes.  Kromekote is also available for HP Indigo presses in two calipers and sizes in C1S (RIT-certified for HP Indigo) and C2S (RIT certification pending).

Kromekote is available in colors and foils—and as a C1S label in two basis weights.  In addition to FSC certification, Kromekote products are acid-free, lignin-free, elemental chlorine free and, with the exception of foils, recyclable.

For more than 80 years, Kromekote has been the premium standard in coated printing papers.  It stands apart because of its brilliant, mirror-smooth glossy surface, realistic highly detailed images, vibrant, saturated colors and excellent on-press performance.  Its fast-drying surface ensures crisp dot formation, nuanced shading and fine lines, all with conventional inks.

Kromekote handles specialty finishing such as embossing, foil stamping, aqueous coatings and varnishes.  Folding and scoring is clean and crack-resistant.

Kromekote can be used on all offset presses, HP Indigo presses, and production-rated equipment from Xerox, Kodak, Canon, Epson, Konica-Minolta, Oce and Ricoh, among others.  More information about the Kromekote Collection is available at

The new swatchbook can be obtained by visiting CTI Paper USA’s website at www.thepapermill.com or by contacting an authorized CTI Paper merchant in your area.  A merchant locator is available on the CTI Paper website.
