Xplor Grants Largest Number Of EDP Certifications During Xplor 2003

Press release from the issuing company

TORRANCE, Calif. U.S.A. (Nov. 7, 2003) - Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, recently granted 29 individuals with their Electronic Document Professional (EDP) certification. EDP is an industry designation awarded to talented individuals that have demonstrated a broad knowledge base and extensive experience in numerous aspects of digital communication, from document creation to distribution. The certifications were awarded to the 29 individuals – the largest class of EDPs ever – during the Xplor 2003 Global Conference & Exhibit. There are currently more than 220 EDPs worldwide. “The individuals who received their certifications demonstrate a great depth and breadth of experience and understanding across the many facets of the document industry,” said EDP Commission Chair Scott Kelly, EDP. “They know the market inside and out have document ‘street smarts,’ meaning they know the day-to-day realities of businesses operating within the document industry, as well as practical applications of a variety of solutions.” The EDP certification process is rigorous, including a thorough examination of each recipient’s demonstrated excellence, e.g. their work, business ethics and overall contributions to the industry. The EDP certification brings recognition, career enhancement, and personal satisfaction. An essential portion of the EDP certification process is the mentorship program. As individuals work through the various phases of application and certification, their EDP mentors offer guidance and advice along each step of the way.
