St. Louis, Missouri - Rotoflex announces the machinery to be displayed at Labelexpo 2013, happening 24-27 September in Brussels, Belgium. With a variety of models and configurations, Rotoflex will demonstrate a full set of offline finishing solutions to enhance the finishing workflow. With many machines running during the show days on the stand, experts will be available to showcase their operation and discuss applications and configurations in Hall 5 on stand C10.
Leading the way this year is the Rotoflex VLI, debuting for the first time in Europe. The VLI is a fully redesigned, highly precise film and packaging rewinder available in widths up to 28.25 inch (700mm). The unit has been configured to provide more advanced, tension-specific applications and higher speed production. Featuring a large easy-access touch screen display as well as well-placed auxiliary controls, the VLI offers an exceptional operator friendly experience, flawlessly finishing a variety of applications and substrates. The VLI also features the latest URC 2.0 control system, boasting easy-to-use operator interface that delivers unmatched defect detection and automatic sensor calibration, all which significantly increase product quality and workflow productivity. The VLI also includes eDrive, a Rotoflex exclusive web handling system which provides faster acceleration and deceleration with maximum control and runs high-quality production at speeds up to 950 fpm (290 m/min).
Focused on quality and overall performance improvement, the VSI series will also be on display to demonstrate ultimate operator convenience. The most widely used model in traditional label and printed roll-to-roll inspection and rewinding, the VSI is known for its high level of accuracy in demanding work environments. The VSI will also feature the URC 2.0 control system. Open access to the vertical web path maximizes set-up and improves change-over
efficiency while low working heights provide easy-access and efficient operator use.
Rounding out the Rotoflex showcase this year is the DSI 330. This 13 inch (330 mm) machine will be demonstrating cost-effective die cutting, showcasing a profitable workflow for blank labeling as well as other die cut applications. The machine will be die cutting a pressure-sensitive material at speeds up to 750 fpm (230 m/min) throughout the show days.
