GWG Presents PDFs for Packaging Session at PRINT ’13/CPP

David Zwang and Steven Carter to Present Real-World Packaging Case Studies and Futures

Ghent, Belgium - The Ghent Workgroup (GWG) is pleased to announce that the next stop on its educational program tour will be a PRINT '13 /CPP session on Wednesday, September 11 at 10:30 am. GWG Specifications and the Future of PDFs for Packaging will be presented by GWG Chairman David Zwang, and Packaging Subcommittee Co-Chair Steven Carter. To register for the event, click here.

"Our worldwide tour, with stops thus far in London, Ghent, and Madrid, is enlightening professionals around the globe about the value GWG specifications and best practices bring," says Carter. "PRINT and CPP attendees will benefit from this sessions' focus on the growing packaging segment."

GWG Specifications and the Future of PDFs for Packaging

In this special PRINT '13 /CPP session, Zwang and Carter will present the latest GWG Packaging specifications for streamlining and ensuring consistency across packaging design and production workflows. They will also discuss how "Smart Layers" will be instrumental to the process.

Real-world examples of companies using GWG packaging specifications will be shared.

In addition to traditional and digital printers who are adding packaging to their service portfolios, the session is well-suited to brand owners, packaging production professionals, and designers.

About the GWG

The Ghent Workgroup, formed in June 2002, is an international assembly of industry associations and suppliers from across Europe and the United States. The Ghent Workgroup's objective is to establish and disseminate process specifications for best practices in graphic arts workflows.

Since its inception ten years ago, the organization has consistently produced numerous process specifications for PDF dissemination as well as developing useful tools for automating processes and establishing consistent PDFs for print and publishing - all available free at: www.gwg.org.
