Xplor International Names New Board of Directors

Nov. 6, 2003--Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today officially announced its newly elected Association Board of Directors. Skip Henk, EDP, was named 2004 Chairman of the Board, his first term in this leadership position. Henk is the Director, System Solutions for Scitex Digital Printing and has been involved in the industry for more than 25 years with various companies in a variety of technical, marketing, sales and managerial roles. Henk has been involved in Xplor for more than 19 years and has served on various committees including: Joint Technology Council, EDP Certification, Vendor Advisory and Nominating. Henk received his EDP certification in 1993 and was recertified for the second time at this year's conference. He is a frequent speaker at regional and national industry events. In his new role, Henk will provide direction and leadership to Xplor International and its worldwide membership ranks to provide renewed growth and focused energy on the association. "I am extremely excited and honored to be named the new Chairman of Xplor. Due to the efforts over the last couple of years of our volunteers around the world, the Xplor Staff and Board of Directors, Xplor is well positioned to continue to respond to the rapid changes occurring within our industry. Changes that combine effective use of variable data with output technology," said Henk. "Xplor remains the premier educational forum in our market space. My vision is not only to continue that tradition as we enter into our 25th year but to expand our scope and focus to include data, data content, design and it's effective use in communicating whether it be a bill, statement, direct mail or prospectus." Henk continued, "The combination of technology development and more effective use of data opens up a new and challenging world, one which will play an important role in how our members and the organizations do business and in the future of Xplor." Cheryl Simerson, EDP, was appointed Vice Chairman for Xplor International. Simerson is a technician for Liberty Northwest, and has been with the company in numerous IT positions for more than 24 years. Since joining Xplor in 1989, she has been active in Xplor from a regional and national perspective. In 1998, Simerson received the "Xplorer of the Year" award for her hard work and dedication to Xplor International. Stephen D. Poe, EDP, was re-appointed as Secretary/Treasurer. Poe is CEO of Nautilus Solutions, a Dallas-based strategic consulting firm focusing on helping management turn technology into profits. His 20-year career includes experience in a diversity of vertical industries and technical fields. He received his EDP certification in 1993 and was re-certified in 1998.
