Chesapeake Packaging Earns Health and Safety Certification

Press release from the issuing company

Chesapeake Tewkesbury and Westport, both part of Chesapeake’s Pharmaceutical and Healthcare division, have achieved the 18001 Occupational Health and Safety management standard (OHSAS) following a two-day audit process which took place in May and July this year.

The audit was successfully achieved at both sites due to a concerted team effort. The standard has helped each site introduce safer working practices and provide clear guidelines to ensure these new procedures are maintained.

Chris Mansell, SHE Co-ordinator (Leaflets UK and Cartons Leicester) remarked: “Achieving 18001 certification underpins the commitment by both leaflet sites to implement and maintain the very highest standard of health and safety.”

Mark Wilson, General Manager Leaflets UK and Ireland said: “This is a fantastic achievement for both sites which reflects a lot of hard work and dedication. This standard provides a framework to promote a safe and healthy working environment. Greenford has also been awarded 18001 within the last year so all of Chesapeake’s UK and Ireland sites that produce patient information leaflets, now operate to the same standard.”
