Roland DGA Announces Key Promotions and Appointment of New Marketing Director

Irvine, Calif. – Roland DGA Corp. has announced several key promotions within its marketing, product management and sales organizations, as well as the appointment of a new marketing director.  These staffing changes reflect the company’s continued growth and success as a leading manufacturer of digital printing equipment, as well as dental, engraving and 3D modeling technologies.

Recent Roland DGA promotions and appointments within product management, sales and marketing are as follows:

PROMOTIONS

Andrew Oransky, Senior Director of Marketing and Product Management

Andrew Oransky has been promoted from director to senior director of marketing and product management, and has been added to Roland’s senior management team.  In addition to overseeing the Roland DGA marketing and product management teams, he will also help coordinate product planning and global marketing with parent company Roland DG. Oransky joined Roland DGA in 2008 as director of product management. His background includes more than 15 years of digital printing industry product management, sales and marketing experience.

Joe Dawson, Senior Director of Sales

Joe Dawson, Roland DGA’s senior director of sales, has been promoted to a position on the senior management team. A digital printing industry veteran with more than 20 years of senior-level sales experience, Dawson has played a major role in the growth of Roland’s customer base and its achievement of sales goals since joining the company in 2005. In his new position, he will continue to be responsible for key sales functions across all Roland inkjet devices, vinyl cutters, engravers and all related supplies and accessories for North and South America.

Grant Davis, National Accounts Manager

Grant Davis has been promoted to the position of national accounts manager for Roland DGA.  He previously served as the company’s business development manager for UV products. Davis brings to his new position over 20 years of digital printing industry sales and management experience. In his new role, Davis will focus on the management, growth and support of Roland’s key accounts throughout the U.S.

Steven Tu, Product Manager – UV Printers

Previously Roland DGA’s color workflow specialist, Steven Tu has been promoted to the position of product manager – UV printers.  Over his nine-year career with Roland, Tu has played important roles within technical support, customer support and product management.  In his new position, Tu will be responsible for the coordination of new product launches and furthering the success of Roland’s UV products in vertical markets such as packaging, label printing, and promotional and industrial printing.

Daniel Valade, Product Manager – VersaStudio® and Cutters

Daniel Valade is Roland DGA’s new product manager for the VersaStudio BN-20 desktop printer/cutter and GX series line of cutters.  Since joining Roland five years ago, Valade has held various positions within the company’s inside sales and customer service departments.  In addition to being an expert in Roland inkjet and cutter technologies, he is an accomplished trainer and speaker.

NEW APPOINTMENTS

Lori Babigian, Marketing Director

As Roland DGA’s newly appointed marketing director, Lori Babigian is responsible for the day-to-day management of all Roland DGA marketing activities, including supervision of the company’s marketing communications and creative teams, and coordination between marketing, sales and product management. Prior to joining Roland, Babigian was director, global marketing communications for Irvine, Calif.-based Printronix. She has spent the majority of her career in the photo imaging industry, serving as vice president, marketing for the North American subsidiary of Noritsu America and also in various positions with Kodak.
