Midtown Printing and Modern Litho Merge to Form Powerhouse Resource

Press release from the issuing company

Established commercial printing companies in St. Louis and Jefferson City unite

St. Louis, MissouriMidtown Printing, a full-service commercial printing company in St. Louis and Jefferson City-based Modern Litho today announce a merger that strategically blends the parallel cultures, vision and service-focused business models of two respected companies. The unification will enhance Midtown’s presence in the St. Louis market by bringing additional capabilities to a trusted provider that has been serving the Midwest for more than 48 years.

The synergy created by the combined organizations will offer expanded services for Midtown’s client-base, positioning Midtown as a major resource for advanced technology and solutions in the areas of print, digital marketing services and cross-media campaigns.

“Midtown clients will experience no change in their relationships with us as we continue to operate in our current location with all the same familiar faces you’ve come to know,” stated Tom Auffenberg, President of award-winning Midtown. “The value and benefits this merger brings to our clients are tremendous,” he added.

In announcing the merger, Auffenberg, who will continue as President of Midtown, said, “We are very excited about joining forces with a company whose leadership I highly regard on both a personal and professional level. Modern Litho has an impeccable reputation and is dedicated to bringing their clientele the same standards of excellence our customers have always expected from us.”

Darrell Moore, President of Modern Litho, added, “Our core values are very much aligned. We believe that those important fundamentals, plus the complementary services we will be providing in unison to valued customers, point to strong growth opportunities for both our organizations. The merger blends two great companies that have always been successful at providing our most important stakeholders — customers, employees and vendors — with win-win advantages.”

In support of their continued growth, on July 3, 2013, Modern Litho broke ground on a 23,000 square foot plant expansion. The additional space is intended to increase production and client fulfillment capacity and create additional workflow efficiencies. Simultaneously, Midtown is increasing its facility 25% to accommodate additional digital print services and production capabilities.
