Muller Martini Customer Has Great Success with the Alegro Perfect Binder

Press release from the issuing company

Samson Druck Wins Gold at the Austrian Werbe Grand Prix

Samson Druck in St. Margarethen im Lungau, Salzburg, Austria, garnered great success when its company brochures for the Goldegg tourist board in Pongau, Austria, finished on an Alegro perfect binder from Muller Martini, were awarded the Signum Laudis gold medal by the expert jury at the prestigious Austrian TAI Werbe Grand Prix.

The 92-page high-quality advertisement catalog featuring PUR perfect binding and UV coating took the prize in the category of printed advertising for tourist boards and destinations. Every year, the Werbe Grand Prix awards the best posters, catalogs, websites and television and radio spots in the Austrian tourism industry. This year‘s winners were selected from a total of 217 products submitted to the competition.

“We are very proud to see that, in addition to design and content, the tourism experts also highly appreciate our printing quality,” says Gerhard Aichhorn, Owner and Managing Director of Samson, with satisfaction. His company also recently received the state prize for “Austria’s Most Beautiful Book”.

Many Customers in the Tourism Industry

In addition to a number of international corporations, Samson Druck’s clientele includes over 600 tourism companies and tourist boards. The successful printing house offers products ranging from door hangers and room card keys to high-quality company brochures for hotels and advertising folders through to detailed hiking and skiing route maps for regions and tourist boards. The company’s customers particularly benefit from its complete service, covering the entire order process from consultation to pre-press, printing, processing and finishing through to address management and mailing service.

Alegro and Primera from Muller Martini

Samson Druck, which uses over 4,000 tons of paper every year, completes its softcover products on an Alegro perfect binding line from Muller Martini featuring VPN nozzles for PUR gluing methods, a Solit three-knife trimmer and a CB 18 book stacker. Aichhorn opted for the Alegro during last year‘s drupa, in particular due to its Motion Control technology, “because short setup times are crucial given our job structure.” Samson Druck also relies on a solution from Muller Martini, namely, a Primera, for its saddle stitching.
