NORCROSS, GA – Unisource Worldwide, Inc., one of the largest privately held companies in the United States and a global provider of comprehensive facility solutions will be featuring advanced reporting tools that simplify the management of complete building portfolios at the 2013 BOMA Every Building Conference and Expo in San Diego, CA, June 23-25.
“UnisourceLink, our advanced e-commerce system, provides a suite of tools that allow Property Management companies to standardize products across large portfolios to gain operational efficiencies and insure compliance with corporate initiatives,” said Garrett Gerst, Senior Marketing Manager-Facility Solutions for Unisource. “Budgets for individual buildings can be set based on occupancy, with alerts and an approval process for spending beyond the budget. The Unisource field sales team can use the tool to perform an assessment on buildings that are consistently over budget, to help identify and address issues,” he said.
“The Green Gauge report also provides customers with an easy-to-read analysis of certified sustainable cleaning product purchases that meet stringent LEED-EB: O&M requirements. Customers can use the report to review ratings on multiple buildings by individual location or as a group,” said Gerst. “The report also includes a list of products that do not meet LEED requirements. This allows a Unisource Sales Professional to quickly identify and recommend products that better meet LEED standards.”
Gerst and Andrew Gustyn, Director of Sustainability for Unisource Worldwide, recently co-authored a whitepaper on using Green Cleaning-related points to maximize the points earned during LEED-EB: O&M certification, which can lead to higher lease revenues. The paper, titled A Simplified Path to LEED-EB: O&M Success, will also be available in Unisource Booth 663 within the Green Pavilion of the Every Building Show.
With an extensive supplier base, national distribution network, logistics expertise, and nationwide sales force, Unisource offers convenient access and reliable and timely delivery of industry-leading cleaning and facility maintenance products. The company offers a vast array of customer solutions that fulfill customer needs for maintenance supplies, cleaning chemicals and equipment, sanitary papers, packaging materials, and office papers.
