FASTSIGNS Giving Away Three Visual Communications Makeovers

Businesses or organizations can win one of three visual communication transformations, with a combined value of $20,000

CARROLLTON, TexasFASTSIGNS® is hosting its third MetamorphoSIGN program, an online contest that provides businesses and organizations with an opportunity to win one of three visual communications makeovers.

“Businesses and organizations are a dynamic collaboration of people, products and ideas, and we want to help our three winners communicate that with our comprehensive marketing solutions,” said Drue Townsend, Senior VP of Marketing for FASTSIGNS. “Our visual communications makeovers could include signs, graphics, displays and mobile marketing solutions—all customized to fit their specific goals.”

The 2012 MetamorphoSIGN winner in the nonprofit category, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, needed to communicate their mission of serving the community, promote outreach events and guide visitors once onsite. Additionally, the humane society needed to update the older signs that were in place with their new logo. Their MetamorphoSIGN makeover included updating exterior site and building signage updating internal wayfinding signs, andcreating tabletop runners, teardrop flags, banner stands, volunteer aprons and a literature rack to take to offsite events to increase their visibility and pet adoptions.

“The best example of how the event signage has helped us was at a recent, large adoption event,” said Brad Shear, Executive Director. “One day a year, a local car dealership takes all the cars out of their showroom and allows about 15 shelters and rescue groups to bring in animals for adoption. Everyone has about the same amount of space and many have table covers with a logo. We were the only ones with 11-foot high teardrop signs, so we were by far the most noticeable. The event lasted for five hours and almost all of our adoptions were done in the first three.”

Winners of the 2013 FASTSIGNS MetamorphoSIGN contest will be chosen by online votes:

  • One makeover of up to $10,000 will be awarded to a traditional brick and mortar business.
  • One makeover of up to $5,000 will be awarded to a nonprofit organization.
  • One makeover of up to $5,000 will be awarded to a vehicle-based business.

Beginning June 5, businesses and organizations can go to www.metamorphosign.com to upload a “before” photo and explain in 250 words or less why they need a transformation. The makeover entry submission period ends June 28. Entries will be voted on from July 8 to July 26; the entry in each category that receives the most votes will be the winner and will be announced on August 15.
