Onyx Graphics wins in four DIMA 2004 award categories

Midvale, UT, USA, 24 March, 2004—For the fourth consecutive year, Onyx Graphics has won Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA) Digital Printer Shoot-Out Awards. Onyx Graphics won four awards this year, which were presented during the Photo Marketing Association's 2004 Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, February 12-15, 2004.
The DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out Awards are given in several categories based on the overall quality of the digital print and the accuracy of color as compared to the target print. In each category, a printer and a RIP share in the award. A panel of expert judges, which included some of the most well respected individuals in the industry, voted on the entries. Onyx Graphics won in the following categories:
Ink Jet Printer, 50" to 72" Wide (Aqueous): Onyx ProductionHouse software was used to drive the HP DesignJet 5500 UV/60 printer
Ink Jet Printer, 18" to 35" Wide: Onyx PosterShop software was used to drive the Epson Stylus Pro 7600 printer
Creative Application, Alternative Substrate: Onyx PosterShop was used to drive the Océ Arizona T220UV flatbed ink jet printer, which printed onto vinyl mini-blinds
Inkjet Printer, 8.5" wide or less: Ilford Galerie Classic Pearl software, a private-label OEM version of Onyx Graphics software, was used to drive the HP 5550 printer
