GPO's Digital Formats for Federal Budget Hit 180 Thousand Users

Press release from the issuing company

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) reports the FY 2014 Federal Budget has experienced more than 180 thousand combined digital users in the first several days since the Budget was released. GPO’s Federal Digital System (FDsys) had nearly 122 thousand users and GPO’s FY14 Budget mobile web app had approximately 62 thousand users since the April 10th release. GPO has been making the Budget available online since the 1990s and this is the second year that GPO developed a mobile web app for the Federal Budget. GPO produces the Federal Budget for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and production of this important document can be traced back to the Budget and Accounting Act of 1921.

“GPO has a long history of making the Federal Budget available to the public and these statistics demonstrate the importance of making information available in digital formats,” said Acting Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooks. “GPO is the official, digital, secure provider of Government information and will continue to provide the public with access to information in multiple formats.”
