GPO Releases Federal Budget in Multiple Formats

Press release from the issuing company

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) has released President Barack Obama’s Budget for the U.S. Government, FY 2014. The Budget is available to the public in print through the agency’s retail and online bookstore, digitally through the agency’s Federal Digital System (FDsys), as a mobile web app for major mobile device platforms, including iOS 4.3 and above, Android 2.2 and above, and Blackberry OS version 6.0 and above, and as a CD-ROM. This is the second time that GPO is making the Budget available as a mobile web app. GPO works with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to produce and distribute the Federal Budget.  GPO has been producing the Federal Budget since the Budget and Accounting Act was established in 1921.

“GPO is proud to serve as the official, digital, secure provider of the Federal Government’s information needs,” said Acting Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooks. “The Federal Budget is a great example of how GPO is evolving to make Government information available in the various formats desired by Congress, Federal agency customers, and the public.”
