Wes-Tex Printing Designated As A Best Workplace In America Winner

Press release from the issuing company

BROWNWOOD, TX – Wes-Tex Printing, a wholesale printer specializing in thermography (raised printing), was recently named a recipient of the “2003 Best Workplace in America” award. Sponsored by the Master Printers of America (MPA), the national competition recognizes the best human relations practices of graphics arts related firms. To enter the competition, companies were required to complete a survey about key human relations areas such as: work environment and organizational culture; training and development opportunities; financial security; personal/work-life balance; recognition and rewards; and health and well-being programs. A team of human relations experts assessed the surveys and compared human relations programs and policies of companies of similar size. “I am proud that Wes-Tex Printing is rated one of the best companies to work for in America,” said Wes-Tex President Steve Blake. Wes-Tex was established in 1960 as a wholesale printer/thermographer with 16 employees. Today, the firm employs 90 people. In 2001, Wes-Tex was also the recipient of the annual Quality Cup award for the Small Business Category sponsored by the Rochester Institute of Technology and USA Today. Wes-Tex is a member of The Worldwide Printing Thermographers Association (WPT) where Steve Blake serves as President for the 2003-2004 term. For information, visit thermographers.org.
