Bowne & Co., Inc. and Knowledge Mosaic LLC Sign Marketing Agreement
Press release from the issuing company
NEW YORK, March 15 -- Bowne Financial Print, the world's largest financial printer, leading EDGAR filer and a division of Bowne & Co., Inc., today announced that it has entered into a marketing agreement with Knowledge Mosaic LLC, publishers of Securities Mosaic, an online information portal for professionals who work closely with securities information such as federal regulations and SEC corporate filings.
Under terms of the agreement, Bowne will market discounted subscriptions to Securities Mosaic to its current roster of BowneFile16 customers. BowneFile16 is a Web-based, self-filing solution that provides public companies with all the convenience, speed, ease of use and security they need in filing their Forms 3, 4 and 5 with the SEC.
That agreement also calls for Knowledge Mosaic to market BowneFile16 to its Securities Mosaic subscribers. Securities Mosaic is an online information portal that provides complete, current, and easy-to-use federal securities and compliance information. Securities Mosaic has recently released a robust set of Section 16 research and reporting materials, including: current Section 16 laws, regulation, guidance, and news; real-time Section 16 filings; interactive Forms 3, 4, and 5; and a powerful tool for searching Forms 4 and 5 by transaction code and other criteria.
"Bowne is committed to providing our customers with all of the information and resources they need to effectively meet their regulatory and compliance needs. As part of that commitment, Bowne is pleased to be able to provide access -- at a 30% discount for first-time users -- to Securities Mosaic, an advanced research environment for fulfilling corporate compliance requirements," said John Batt, Vice President, Marketing, Bowne Financial Print.
"With Securities Mosaic, Bowne customers can harvest critical and current Section 16 information from a dedicated Section 16 resource center; email interactive Section 16 forms to officers, directors, and principal owners; and search for situation-specific Section 16 filings by transaction code, security type, and owner type," Batt continued.
"Likewise, Knowledge Mosaic is very pleased to be able to provide our Securities Mosaic customers with access to BowneFile16 at a discounted rate. BowneFile16 is the premier self-filing solution in the marketplace and is a 'natural' for our subscribers, many of whom are likely to be self-filing candidates," said Peter Schwartz, President, Knowledge Mosaic LLC.
"The combination of BowneFile16's ability to provide clients with a Web- based, intuitive, self-filing solution and Securities Mosaic's ability to provide clients with complete, current, and easy-to-use insight into Section 16 regulations is a powerful 'one-two combination punch' that will enable Bowne's and Knowledge Mosaic's clients to easily and quickly meet all of their compliance needs," said Batt.
Securities Mosaic offers clients a single point of access for regulatory and disclosure information, providing an integrated, query-intensive platform for legal research and analysis. By enabling clients to get quickly to the data they need, to understand it more deeply, and to interpret it more effectively, Securities Mosaic can increase their productivity, enhance the value of their work, and create higher levels of confidence in its quality.
BowneFile16 has recently been enhanced with new accounting functionality that gives filers the opportunity to manage securities -- both holdings and transactions -- per reporting owner. The new module is an industry first and enables filers to keep track of transactions, automatically calculate the number of securities held after a transaction, and seamlessly create and file the appropriate form within BowneFile16.
