Schawk Brand Development Recognized for Design Excellence

Anthem Worldwide and Brandimage Win Silver and Bronze Awards in the 2012 Pentawards Worldwide Packaging Design Competition

Schawk, Inc., a leading provider of brand development and deployment services, enabling companies of all sizes to connect their brands with consumers, announced that brand development divisions, Anthem Worldwide and Brandimage, have earned three packaging design awards recognizing creativity and excellence.

Anthem Worldwide received a silver Pentaward for its design of Fuze Tea packaging, and Brandimage won silver for its design of Healthy Choice 100% Natural packaging. In addition, Anthem received a bronze Pentaward for its design of Black Beach Organics packaging. The Pentawards prize ceremony was held in Paris on October 4, 2012.

Added Gold, "If brands had no marketing communication budgets at all, the package would still have to be developed. It serves as the closest point a shopper can get to the brand and the most important mediator between the brand and the shopper."

The 2012 Pentawards Worldwide Packaging Design Competition is the first online global awards competition devoted excusively to packaging design in all its forms. In order for designs originating from comparable markets to be judged, the participants can enter in five major categories (Beverages, Food, Body, Other Markets and Luxury), which are themselves divided into several sub-categories.

The international jury included 12 specialists in packaging design from Brussels, London, Melbourne, New York, Paris, Scottsdale, Seoul, Shanghai, Stockholm, Tokyo and Toronto under the chairmanship of Gérard Caron.

In the Beverage - Coffee & Tea (RTD -- ready-to-drink) category, Anthem Worldwide was awarded:

SILVER: Fuze Tea Packaging
Design: Anthem Worldwide (New York)
Brand Owner: The Coca-Cola Company

In the Food - Soups ready-to-eat dishes (fresh, deep-frozen, dry or canned) category, Brandimage was awarded:

SILVER: Healthy Choice 100% Natural
Design: Brandimage (Northbrook, IL)
Brand Owner: ConAgra Foods

In the Concept - Luxury category, Anthem Worldwide was awarded:

BRONZE: Black Beach Organics
Concept Design: Anthem Worldwide (London)
