IBIS Integrated Bindery Systems, the market leader in digital in-line saddle stitching, has chosen Graph Expo in Chicago for the first public showing in the United States for its Smart-binder PLUS model that is 30% faster and has a range of other new benefits.
The new model will be running off-line from a high speed sheet pile feeder on the IBIS booth 3412 at the show at McCormick Place South from 7-10 October.
Based at High Wycombe in the UK, IBIS has customers across the world of which around half are in the United States.
As well as faster input web and output speeds, other improvements for the Smart-binder SB-3 include a higher cycling rate, improved book transport through the trimming operation and enhanced cover feeder capacity and reliability. In addition, there is updated machine guarding and optional selective folding.
John Cracknell, Managing Director of IBIS Integrated Bindery Systems, said: "As market leader, and with half our sales in America, Graph Expo represents a golden opportunity for generating new sales. I personally look forward to welcoming the many visitors who will want to see our Smart-binder Plus model in action, which is the latest system in the generational evolution of a Digi-stitcher system first unveiled in 1999. The Digi-Stitcher, and the Smart-binder series of saddle-stitchers which replaced the Digi-stitcher in 2004, are built specifically for the digital print workspace."
The IBIS Smart-binder system series offers a variety of high-quality booklet and book finishing options for producing personalised "books-of-one" either in-line with a continuous web digital press, or from a roll, or sheet pile feeder.
