Press release from the issuing company
Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) nabbed gold for its Book of Possibilities in the annual Gold Ink Awards, presented by Printing Impressions magazine. The organization received the award in the Digital Printing, Specialty category.
The Book of Possibilities, designed by Conn.-based Cipher Creative Group, is a value-added member benefit created as part of the Marketing to Win Toolkit to help Dscoop members pitch the possibilities of HP digital printing to print influencers-from designers to marketers to agencies.
The book was printed by Israel-based Ilan Print Ltd. in partnership with HP using multiple HP Indigo presses, showcasing the latest technologies such as textured effects, raise print, white ink, and more. The substrates were donated from Dscoop Partners: GPA; Mohawk; NewPage Corp.; Finch, Pruyn & Co.; Neenah Paper; and Sappi Fine Paper.
"Receiving the Gold Ink Awards two years in a row is an immense honor for Dscoop," said Eric Hawkinson, Dscoop global executive director. "It shows that as a printing cooperative, we are on the cutting edge of print. It's important for us to represent the future of the industry while we provide value to our members."
This year's Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from more than 1,000 entries submitted within 46 categories. Winning pieces were chosen based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect.

Wow, how cool. Congratulations, Eric and team!
I am always impressed by the printed pieces I receive from Dscoop, whether it is a card or a conference program. This piece is exceptional.
Doing these ambitious projects is clearly another way the association stays directly in touch with the processes HP and the partners are delivering to customers, and helps Dscoop understand the level of effort required of members to do these things.
In this case, it's also a fantastic example of the power of digital printing today and something that members can use with their own customers to demonstrate capabilities
