Press release from the issuing company
Heavy stock printer manufacturer Intec Printing Solutions Limited has signed a unique deal with Objectif Lune to distribute its industry leading Printshop Mail Suite variable data software.
This means that from August, a full version Printshop Mail Suite dongle will be included with every new Intec printer for three months with a limited credit set. It includes one month’s access to Objectif Lune’s technical support and training portal.
“This is a very exciting agreement,” says Ian Melville, founder and MD of Intec Printing Solutions Limited. “On their own, our printers are hugely capable but when used in conjunction with PrintShop Mail Suite, their full potential can be truly realised. Variable data printing allows for the personalisation of promotional documents such as advertisements, direct mail pieces and flyers based on a recipient’s profile and shopping history. For example, a retail company could create a marketing campaign to target specific segments of its database with personalised offerings such as a heavy stock postcard, printed in single print process, with targeted messages personalised for each recipient.”
He adds: “Personalised literature is an effective marketing tool. You can personalise documents with barcodes using the correct algorithm rather than just a font. As the programme uses optimised PostScript, it is capable of telling the system to fold or staple – making it particularly appropriate for the Intec PFS range. It’s not just about what’s on the page but how it’s delivered,” he concludes.
Before using this software, staff at St. Martin’s School, Hutton, Essex were manually cutting out hundreds of individual photographs for yearbooks, taking over a week. Now this is done in a matter of hours.
PrintShop Mail Suite variable data software is available in Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish versions.
