3D Systems' CEO and Co-Founder Anchor List of 20 Most Influential People in 3D Printing

Press release from the issuing company

3D Systems Corporation announced today that the company's President and CEO, Abe Reichental, was voted one of the top 5 most influential people in the rapid technologies, 3D printing industry by TCT Magazine. Chuck Hull, the company's co-founder and inventor of Stereolithograpghy, the very first and most prolific 3D printing technology, was also named to this list of individuals who have had the most positive impact on the industry.

"The inclusion of Abe in the Top 5 of the Most Influential list is a reflection of both the unrivalled history and diversity of 3D Systems, and also Abe's personal passion for Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing technologies and the positive impact they are having on how we live. In his position as CEO, he is undoubtedly one of the most influential members of the community, especially as an evangelist for 3D printing by consumers, where 3D Systems' Cubify platform is leading the industry boldly towards new territory," said James Woodcock, Group Editor at TCT magazine and www.prsnlz.me.

"We are deeply honored that Abe and Chuck were named to this prestigious list of leaders in 3D printing and rapid technologies," said Cathy Lewis, VP Global Marketing for 3D Systems. "This recognition is gratifying for our entire team as the nominations from design and manufacturing professionals validate our strategy and commitment to democratize access to our 3D content-to-print solutions," concluded Lewis.

"It is also not surprising that 3D Systems has two individuals in the Top 20 -- Chuck Hull also made the list, as he did in 2007. This is testament to his profound impact on the fledgling industry over twenty years ago, an impact that is still being felt today," remarked Woodcock.

Published in the 20th anniversary issue of TCT Magazine, the list recognizes individuals who have had a significant impact on rapid technologies, including 3D printing. Actual ranks were not disclosed for those not included in the top 5.
