Unisource Becomes BOMA 360 Ambassador

Press release from the issuing company

Unisource Worldwide, Inc., one of the largest privately held companies in the United States and a global provider of comprehensive customer solutions including facility supplies and equipment, is partnering with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International members as a BOMA 360 Ambassador.

The BOMA 360 Performance Program – sponsored by BOMA International – evaluates buildings against industry best practices in six major areas including: Building Operations and Management: Life Safety, Security and Risk Management: Training and Education; Energy, Environmental/Sustainability; and Tenant Relations/Community Involvement. Individual buildings that satisfy the requirements in all six areas are awarded the BOMA 360 designation.  As a BOMA 360 Ambassador, program applicants can now turn to Unisource for consultation and help in meeting several of the performance criteria, including green purchasing programs, green cleaning programs, indoor air quality, waste management, and recycling programs.

“In this increasingly competitive marketplace, building owners and managers are constantly seeking ways to differentiate their buildings against other properties,  A BOMA 360 designation signals to owners, tenants, and prospective tenants that a building is managed and operated to the highest standards in the industry,” said Garrett Gerst, Senior Marketing Manager – Facility Supplies for Unisource.  “Many BOMA 360 recipients have found that the designation is a key factor in attracting new tenants,” he said.  “Recipients also often find operational savings and efficiencies after establishing new management policies or operating procedures.  An independent study by Kingsley & Associates reported that BOMA 360 buildings earn higher scores in 47 out of 50 tenant satisfaction categories.”

With an extensive supplier base, national distribution network, logistics expertise, and highly-trained nationwide sales force, Unisource offers convenient access and reliable and timely delivery of industry-leading cleaning and facility maintenance products.  The company’s vast array of customer solutions fulfills customer needs for maintenance supplies, cleaning chemicals and equipment, sanitary papers, packaging materials, and office papers.

BOMA’s 16,500-plus members own or manage more than 9 billion square feet of commercial properties.  BOMA International’s mission is to enhance the human, intellectual and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards and information.
