Press release from the issuing company
Mortsel, Belgium – Drupa – 18 February 2004 – Agfa announced today that it has sold more than 7,000 inkjet printing systems from the :Sherpa, :Grand Sherpa and :Sherpamatic ranges to date. Most of these systems are used for digital colour proofing. As the :SherpaProof establishes itself as an industry standard throughout the world, Agfa is announcing plans to offer software and media bundles for imposition and contract proofing using third-party printing engines. By Drupa, Agfa will also bring new ink saving features for the :Grand Sherpa range while enhancing the contract proofing quality in every critical aspect.
In addition, remote proofing capability will be demonstrated at Drupa in co-operation with Fogra. Agfa’s solutions and services can be found at Drupa 2004 in Hall 06/D27.
