HP Eco-Leadership Forum at drupa 2012

Press release from the issuing company

Change is demanding but the need to adapt is both inevitable and constant. The only way to ensure that any business continues to thrive and remain relevant is through effective leadership. The early movers in any industry tend to gain competitive advantage and are regarded as cutting edge, innovative and therefore appealing to do business with. But the initial journey takes bravery, self-belief, commitment, energy and hard work.

But the reward is that the early movers always get the best acclaim for breaking new ground.

Sustainability is rewarding the leaders who have made an early investment in readying their businesses for the shift in demand for sustainable print. But despite the considerable improvements from within the print sector in relation to sustainability, there are still significant challenges that confront our industry.

In light of this fact, at Drupa, HP's Stephen Goddard is moderating an Eco-Leadership panel, which features the leaders in print focusing on Eco issues affecting the print sector.

EcoPrint Show's Frazer Chesterman sits on the panel along with Verdigris's Laurel Brunner, SGP's Marci Kinter, Pureprints Richard Owers and Matthias Hausmann of Cewe Color.

‘Taking your business in a more sustainable direction demands leadership and this is something that needs focus and commitment. Taking a more sustainable path must be accompanied by an open mind, a willingness to make necessary changes and adopt new practices in order to create change that is good for profit, people and planet. This is a critical business issue and I am confident that the panel and the delegates in our audience will have a productive and enlightening discussion around the issue of sustainability’ says Chesterman.

The Eco leadership forum takes place in the HP tent on Saturday 5 May and Tuesday 8 May and spaces are limited to attend. The session will address a variety of key issues and anyone who is interested in learning and discussing sustainable issues in print should attend.

  • Saturday 5 May – Sharing knowledge across the supply chain
  • Tuesday 8 May – Improving environmental performance
