KPG Plate Manufacturing Facilities Earn ISO 9001 Re-Certification

Press release from the issuing company

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA — Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) plate production facilities in Columbus, Ga. and Windsor, Colo. recently achieved ISO 9001 re-certification. The two plants manufacture thermal and conventional printing plates for customers in North and South America. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) updated the standards for certification of a Quality Management System in 2000. This new standard broadens the scope of the quality system to include a new emphasis on effective training, preventative actions and continual improvement – one of KPG Manufacturing’s primary goals. “Updating to the new ISO 9001 certification assures customers that our plates and plate systems are manufactured to the highest quality possible,” said John S. Robinson, Senior Corporate Vice President, Manufacturing and Product Supply, KPG. “Achieving this certification is a reflection of our employees’ dedication and it means that KPG plates can deliver the most consistent and accurate performance available.”
