Muller Martini Prepares for drupa 2012

Press release from the issuing company

From May 3-16th, drupa, the world’s largest print and media industry tradeshow, will set the stage for a wealth of exciting developments in the print industry.  Among the major exhibitors will be Muller Martini, whose 22,000-plus square foot booth will represent a hallmark of innovation solutions for today’s evolving markets.

Muller will present the latest machinery from all of its business divisions, including variable size web offset printing presses, saddle stitchers, perfect binders, hardcover systems, newspaper mailroom systems, as well as “crossover” systems for digital book production.  Muller’s worldwide representatives, including a strong U.S. contingent, will be on hand in Hall 14, C21 to meet visitors and clients and demonstrate the latest offerings in print finishing.

drupa has long served as a launch pad for Muller innovation.  In 2004, Muller unveiled SigmaLine, a revolutionary breakthrough in digital book production.  The technology enabled fully automated production in a single work process, from the roll right up to the finished book.  In 2008, Muller first showcased its Primera platform of saddle stitchers, whose automation elevated print finishing efficiency and versatility to a higher level.  The Orbit 3-Knife Trimmer also made its first appearance at drupa 2008.  Its full automation and innovative “Smart Press” technology provided rapid set-ups and high net output combined with impeccable trimming quality.  Today, these machines continue to help binderies thrive by satisfying the needs of their customers.

With opportunities shifting daily from traditional to digital runs, Muller understands the needs of printing houses and finishers to remain competitive and relevant while maintaining bottom-line sensibility.  It has devoted its resources to not only the development of new technology, but to resourceful ways that can increase efficiencies and productivity in older equipment.  By answering the needs of all its customers, Muller continues to develop solutions and systems that increase reliability, shorten makeready and seamlessly connect the traditional and digital print arena, all the while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
