Pageflex Announces Winners of the Second Annual Customer Innovation Awards

Press release from the issuing company

Pageflex, a division of Bitstream Inc. and a leading developer of enterprise variable publishing and web-to-print solutions, today announced the winners of the Second Annual Pageflex Customer Innovation Awards, presented at the Pageflex User Conference held recently in Boston, Massachusetts. Entries were judged on several areas, including:  Best Self-Promotion Campaign, Best Use of Mobile Technology,  Innovative Use of Variable Data, for Solutions that Enable Greater Efficiencies, and Innovative Solutions that Meet Customer's Needs.

Elly Perets, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pageflex, commented on the awards, saying "These award winners demonstrate what is possible when you combine Pageflex technology with innovative thinking. The results are solutions that meet client's needs, expand business opportunities, and gain efficiencies. I congratulate all the winners, not just for winning their award, but for the creative ways in which they meet their customers' needs."

This year’s Customer Innovation Award winners are:

The Standard Group – Winner for Best Self-Promotion Campaign
The Standard Group created a cross-media self-promotion campaign that  fully demonstrated the company's range of capabilities.  The campaign used variable data and personalization to effectively target, communicate and encourage customers and prospects to visit the Standard Group's Marketing Portal.  Once at the portal, customers and prospects could place an order for a free personalized wall calendar with their own photographs. In creating their calendar, they experienced firsthand the powerful brand management, customization and online ordering capabilities the Standard Group can provide.

The Prime Group - Winner for Most Innovative Use of Variable Data

Prime Group's Prime Group's client, DHL Aviation Services, is a global market leader in the international express and logistics industry. DHL uses flight maps that graphically display all of the flight plans and routes on which the company operates its worldwide air freight courier services. These flight maps are based on specific airport and route information around the world, are updated frequently, and are used extensively in DHL’s sales and marketing literature.

The Prime Group replaced the time-consuming manual process of map illustration with an automated solution that enables maps to be created instantaneously. To create the system, they redrew all seven of DHL’s maps adhering to brand guidelines. These maps were then turned into templates. One template was created for each area map and another template was created for each map to be produced, containing the requisite data for outputting the maps in the requested formats.

e-Integrity -  Winner for Innovative Solutions that Meet Customer's Needs
e-Integrity developed a site for their clients Trade Promotion Administration and Owens Corning that went beyond the traditional marketing portal site. The site created by e-Integrity provides Owens Corning dealers with a comprehensive resource where they can orders product samples, register warranties, and produce marketing materials.

Because Owens Corning provides co-op dollars to their dealers, they wanted the site to be a place where dealers could also access co-op information. To support this, e-Integrity developed an integration with TPA’s co-op management system which enables dealers to access details on their co-op dollars directly from the portal, including co-op balances and claims. Dealers can also use co-op dollars to but materials at the site.

Arizona State University – Winner for Solutions That Enable Greater Efficiencies

The ASU Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises, invests and manages private funds to benefit Arizona State University. The Foundation needed a faster and much more affordable solution to support over 40 Development Officers who need personalized  high resolution proposals for prospective donors. Due to  their limited staff of graphic designers, they did not have the  time to create unique proposals for all the officers so for help the turned to Pageflex user The ASU Print and Imaging Lab.

The Foundation created a secure website in which Development Officers could go to create proposals and find information about the University and its resources. The ASU Print & Imaging Lab created a pass through from this website to Pageflex iWay. Using this solution, officers could select from many proposal templates to create highly dynamic proposals for prospective donors.

Making Everlasting Memories -  The Most Innovative Use of Mobile Technology

Making Everlasting Memories (MEM) has been using Pageflex technology to create personalized items that redefine the way funeral homes across North America engage and connect with their client families. As more and more people are accessing the internet with mobile devices, MEM began including Pageflex' QR code plug in to their variable data templates to keep their market in touch with this surging tend.

MEM's implementation of the Pageflex QR code plug in means funeral homes, cemeteries, and monument builders now have the option to include a QR code in keepsake items distributed at the funeral or burial services.

Over the next couple of months, case studies on these awards will be published on the Pageflex blog .
