FSC accreditation for International Paper’s Impulse Copier grade

Press release from the issuing company

International Paper, the world’s largest paper and packaging company, has underlined its commitment to environmental sustainability by announcing that its Impulse Copier grade is being re-launched during the coming weeks and will then be available with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation.

The Impulse Copier range is manufactured at International Paper’s Luiz Antonio paper mills, which use virgin wood fibre sourced 100% from their own plantations in Brazil (72,170 ha) which are certified according to the Brazilian forest Certification Programme (CERFLOR), PEFC and FSC. No wood from native forests is used. Average wood procurement distance from the mill is 83 km. International Paper’s paper mills are the best in class in terms of environmental performance.

Impulse Copier range is a high contrast quality multifunctional office paper, ideal for all black and white printing applications, providing consistently sharp and clear results.

The Impulse range is available in sizes A4 and A3, and weights 75gsm and 80gsm.

As a further indication of its high environmental credentials, Impulse Copier also has EU Eco-Label status and the producing Luiz Antonio mills have ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation.

Mike Robertson, International Paper’s Country Manager UK stated, “Having the FSC Certification will help our distributors in the UK & Ireland meet the need for FSC certified products.”
