Andy Scott, former co-founder and Director of leading pr, marketing and industry consultancy Collins Scott Marketing, has established a new consultancy service company, providing freelance public relations, marketing and journalism services to the print, paper, packaging and publishing industries.
The new business will offer companies an outsource service for their public relations and marketing requirements, covering all areas including press releases, event management and planning, media purchasing, research and training.
Prior to establishing Collins Scott Marketing in 2006, Andy was Paper Editor with leading trade publication, PrintWeek for six years, becoming renowned as an industry commentator, and travelling across the globe. He joined PrintWeek from Paper Focus magazine, where he was News and Environment Editor for four years.
He has also freelanced for the BBC in both print and local radio, and also covered both music and football events for a variety of publications, including the Birmingham Post & Mail, and BBC Match of the Day magazine.
Before re-training as a journalist in 1996, Andy spent 14 years in the printing industry in a variety of roles, the last eight of which were spent in the Midlands working for a leading Graphic Design company as Production Manager.
Andy was also one of the last apprentices to undertake a four-year apprenticeship at the London College of Printing, gaining a City & Guilds qualification in Graphic Reproduction.
He has worked with numerous international companies in the print, paper, packaging and pulp industry sectors over the years.
