Golf Magazine Publishes iPad App with QuarkXPress

Press release from the issuing company

Quark announced today the availability of the iPad edition of the CTGolfer.com Course Guide 2011, Connecticut’s oldest and most widely read golf magazine. The new digital edition was created entirely using QuarkXPress®.

Published by Netminder Communications, Inc., the CTGolfer.com Course Guide 2011 is known for providing the most comprehensive information about Connecticut’s golf community, including public courses, private courses, golf shops, and driving ranges. The 2011 issue includes a directory of all the courses in the state, maps by type of course, and in-depth features on select Connecticut courses that include slideshows and course photos. The new iPad edition is on sale at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ctgolfer.com-course-guide/id449955379?mt=8.

Robert Samek of Netminder Communications said, “Being a small business, there is no way we would have been able to create an iPad edition of our annual course guide without Quark App Studio. It’s exciting to take our QuarkXPress skills and leverage them to output interactive content to digital outlets. Because the CTGolfer.com Course Guide is an annual special, it was the perfect edition for us to offer on the iPad so our readers can access it throughout the season.”

In addition to the iPad edition of the CTGolfer.com Course Guide 2011, golf enthusiasts can access the latest golf news and information in Connecticut at http://www.ctgolfer.com.
