Mimeo appoints Jacobia Solomon Vice President of Engineering

Mimeo, the leading online printing and distribution solutions company, today announced the hiring of Jacobia Solomon as Vice President, Engineering. She brings over 14 years of experience in engineering, continuous improvement and global project management to the company.

“It’s a real win to attract someone of Jacobia’s caliber to our operations management team,” said Mimeo CEO Adam Slutsky. “We look forward to her contributions as we execute against our expansion plans in North America, Europe and other global markets.”

Most recently, Jacobia served as a Senior Project Manager at Newell Rubbermaid, where she managed projects in the areas of Shared Services, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain and SAP. While at Newell Rubbermaid she organized the company’s first Women’s Leadership Conference. Previous experience includes Owens-Illinois as a Lean Six-Sigma Manager, and various management positions in engineering with Ford Motor Company. 

“Jacobia’s skills in Six-Sigma and Lean engineering will have an immediate impact on the way we operate,” said John Delbridge, Mimeo COO. “Her operations and quality expertise brings a rich mix of experience to our team which will pay dividends as we expand our digital print infrastructure.”

Jacobia is certified in Lean Six-Sigma as a Black Belt and in Lean as a Kaizan Leader. In 2010, she was highlighted as an Emerging Women Leader in the blog “Women’s Leadership Coaching.” She holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
