PrintCity presents Value Added Packaging in Offset Printing

Press release from the issuing company

Rainer Kuhn, PrintCity managing director, will make a presentation about the work of alliance members on Value Added Packaging at the 2011 ERA Packaging Conference in Graz, Austria, November 17.

The presentation, Value Added Packaging in Offset Printing, will focus on alliance members’ knowledge of opportunities and benefits from applying paper board VAP production techniques in many packaging sectors. After the ERA Annual Congress, this is the second area of cooperation between the ERA and PrintCity.

James Siever, Secretary General for the European Rotogravure Association comments, “The new cooperation between ERA and the PrintCity Alliance is offering access to an increased shared knowledge bank across printing and packaging topics. Members of both ERA and PrintCity will benefit from this.”

PrintCity Alliance Value Added Packaging – Knowledge Benefits

The packaging industry is facing many challenges, including pressure on price and increasing competition. The PrintCity Alliance Value Added Packaging (VAPack) project highlights new possibilities for product packaging differentiation and positioning. Innovative VAP technologies and new functions, including linkage to electronic media, are offering an added value opportunity for brand owners, designer and printers.
