Press release from the issuing company

Strong Customer Satisfaction and Industry Recognition Highlight Success

HUDSON, NH, – Presstek, Inc., a leading supplier of digital offset printing solutions to the printing and communications industries, reported that its Presstek 75DI digital offset press program continues to gain momentum as printers worldwide show interest in the 75DI's unique capabilities. Since sales have begun in January 2011 Presstek has sold 75DIs on three continents to printers from the commercial, digital, direct mail, and in-plant segments of the market. The 75DI press is gaining interest from packaging printers, as the 75DI provides a unique capability to increase productivity and reduce cost throughout the packaging industry.

Presstek's 75DI was featured on the cover of the September issue of In-plant Graphics Magazine, a major industry publication. In the cover article Robert Pettway, Manager of General Services and Mail Operations at BCBST, said, "The 75DI is a game-changer for us because of its sheet size, capabilities and sheer speed. We feel confident this press will play a key role in helping us bring in work currently being outsourced. In fact, our customers were so excited about this new press that while the press was being assembled on the floor and before the first production job even came off of the press, we had more than a million impressions lined up for it." The Presstek 75DI was demonstrated at Graph Expo which took place from September 11th to 14th in Chicago. During the show the 75DI was demonstrated to hundreds of printers. Jeff Jacobson, Presstek's Chairman, President & CEO, said, "It is very exciting and gratifying to see the industry's enthusiasm around the Presstek 75DI. Printers are looking for ways to adjust their business model to fit today's changing market dynamics; DI technology is designed to meet these requirements." Jacobson adds, "The Presstek 75DI provides larger printers a way to capitalize on the inherent benefits of DI printing which includes going from digital file to printed sheet in 6 minutes, throughput of 96,000 letter size pages an hour, and a cost per page of less than a penny. The reception we have received from commercial printers as well as the packaging market has been extremely positive."

The 75DI was awarded a 2011 Encore Must See'em Award at the Graph Expo Executive Outlook Conference. Encore selections are made from products that received Must See'em Awards in 2010 and are voted to receive continuing recognition because they still represent a compelling product.

In August, the Presstek 75DI won a gold Connecticut Quality Improvement Award CQIA Innovation Prize. The Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership's mission is to improve the economic vitality of the State of Connecticut and its manufacturers, service companies, health care and educational institutions. "Even in an uncertain economy, Presstek showed that forward-looking organizations continue to introduce and bring to market new products and services," says Sheila Carmine, Founder and Executive Director of the Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership, Inc.

The Presstek 75DI is a highly automated 29" digital offset press and is available in 4- to 10-color configurations. It is available with a full range of productivity enhancing options, including an inline aqueous coater. The 75DI features support for 300 lpi and FM screening, 6-minute job-to-job turnover (including on-press plate imaging), and a small environmental footprint. The press prints up to 16,000 six-up sheets or 96,000 letter-sized pages per hour.

Kurt Hamlin, Presstek's US Sales Director for Digital Printing Systems, comments, "The Presstek 75DI is truly an innovative product. DI technology has evolved at the rate of computer technology, today's DI presses are faster, more accurate, provide higher resolution and are much more robust than the original DI press. I invite all printers that haven't seen a Presstek DI press recently to take a look at the new Presstek 75DI digital offset press."
