Kern UK Launches New Division – Kern Print

Press release from the issuing company

Kern Ltd has this month launched its third division; Kern Print, which will sit alongside Kern Mail and Kern Pack.  The new division has formalised relationships with a number of bespoke manufacturers and suppliers to provide a comprehensive range of products for the publishing market, including graphic, book, magazine and newspaper publishing and secure printing.

Kern's engineers will install and offer full technical support services for equipment from a range of key suppliers to the print sector, including Prime UV, Kansa, VR Handling and Sitech.  Each partner is recognised as a technological leader in its respective field.

"We have been working with some of these partners for several years however, we've noticed a significant increase in sales and interest in print supplies recently so dedicating resources towards this makes good commercial sense," said Pete Jolley, general manager of Kern UK.

Kern's extensive and mature service infrastructure means that customers will benefit instantly from access to real product understanding, great engineering support and a commitment to excellence.  Kern also has the secure facilities to store stock so that any customer demands can be fulfilled by same day courier if necessary.

The new launch follows a significant partnership agreement with Kodak making  Kern the exclusive UK distributor of Kodak's popular 1" and 2" inkjet heads and consumables which are used in multiple sectors from transactional and  DM through to food, pharma, mailsort and magazine publishing.   The agreement was confirmed in February 2011.

Kern UK's website reflects the new company structure in anticipation of a busy autumn and winter.
