Space Shuttle Program Book Available At GPO

WASHINGTON-As the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launches Atlantis, the final mission of the space shuttle program, the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) has made available Wings in Orbit: Scientific and Engineering Legacies of the Space Shuttle 1971-2010 at the agency's retail and online bookstore and at the Google eBookstore. Wings in Orbit focuses on the space shuttle program's science and engineering accomplishments, the history of the program, and the shuttle's mark in U.S. history. The book features imagery and photographs and first-hand accounts of those who worked with the shuttle program.
