Avanti's Print MIS (Management Information System) integrates with Ultimate's Impostrip imposition technology, enabling printers to optimize their production workflow from production planning to the prepress and finishing stage.
 
The objective of this joint Avanti/Ultimate partnership was to develop a high level of integration that would provide print professionals with a simple to deploy cost effective yet powerful solution, without needing to invest in IT resources or programming. With the exponential growth in the print on demand and short-run printing market, print providers need to automate as many touch-points as possible in order to remain profitable.

Ultimate's Impostrip OnDemand Automation solution for digital printing and Impostrip client-server for hybrid printers are both integrated with Avanti. Ultimate's XML Director triggers the imposition no matter how complex, from the job ticket generated by Avanti's MIS. Once the job is created in Avanti, the job ticket is consumed automatically by Impostrip XML Director Module, which imposes and creates the final PDF for print with all the elements required such as dynamic barcode, marks, etc. and automatically sends the PDF to the selected press. Simultaneously, and again automatically, a JDF job ticket is produced and sent to the selected finishing device through JMF communication.
