The Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica has announced that Best Press of Addison, Texas was recognized with the "Best of Show" overall "Honorable Mention" award and the special award of "Best Use of Ink". A Bronze Division II Award in the Association's 22nd Annual Graphic Excellence Awards Competition was also awarded.  The announcement was made April 28th at the Association's 2011 Graphic Excellence Awards Gala, held in Grapevine, Texas with over 200 industry professionals in attendance.  This year's competition attracted entries from many of the industry's top commercial printers in Kansas, Oklahoma, Western Missouri, and Texas.
 
The winning entry, which was the 2010 Annual Report for Atmos Energy, competed against a variety of printed products produced by the largest and best equipped companies in the region.  The panel of independent judges reviewed each entry based on technical difficulty, as well as the entrant's attention to detail in meeting their customer's expectations.
 
Best Press was also awarded two "Best of Category's". One "Best of Category" was for an invitation for a cruise that was a working chest constructed out of paper. The other "Best of Category" was for the Atmos Energy 2011 annual report. Two "Awards of Excellence"  were awarded for the Crizal pocket folder utilizing soft touch varnish and the Best Press Women Owned self promotion utilizing raised UV, soft touch and Mirafoil.
