Orlando, FL – Continuing a tradition that was established seven years ago, Central Florida Press was honored by Hallmark Cards, Inc. with a Supplier Diversity Award on May 12.  CFP personnel were recognized at the 11th annual Hallmark Diversity Awards held at the American Heartland Theatre in Kansas City, Mo.   

Accepting the award on behalf of CFP were Clay Loomis, Senior Account Manager; Kent Shore, Client Service Representative, and Jill Davis of The MATLET Group.  In 2004, CFP was first recognized by Hallmark with a Key Supplier Award.  The initial honor was earned for meeting essential quality, equipment, competitiveness and logistical criteria to manage the company’s lithography work.

Hallmark’s Supplier Diversity program, now in its 42nd year, recognizes outstanding efforts displayed by their buyers, in addition to the significant efforts performed by the diverse-owned businesses they work with to support the manufacturing of Hallmark products and operation of the company.  This includes the advancement of technologies to help create better products, new and unique processes that help Hallmark maintain industry leadership position, and the development of products and services to help run the business efficiently.

CFP’s Supplier Diversity Award was based on efficiently combining press runs in 2010 for the Hallmark Gold Crown Datebooks and Pocket Calendars.  CFP also produces Hallmark’s Dreambook, a premier printed piece showing all of the Keepsake Ornaments. Various suggestions, CFP’s attention to detail, and their willingness to go the extra mile in terms of service factored heavily in the award decision.
