Mike Philie on Sales Strategies for the 'Recovery' in May NAPL NewsTalk Live

Press release from the issuing company

East Rutherford, N.J. - National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) Vice President and Senior Consultant Mike Philie will reveal new approaches for gaining printing work as the economic recovery picks up steam during a live conversation with a leading industry sales professional on the next edition of NAPL NewsTalk Live. The free one-hour live podcast will be held on May 24, from 11 a.m. to noon, Eastern Time. The May NAPL NewsTalk Live broadcast is sponsored by Heidelberg. Register for the program at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/992097274.

"Variable-data work, marketing services, and electronic media tie-ins have all changed the strategies of successful print sales in recent years," says Philie. "Now we also have to factor in the impact of a recovering economy-when companies may be increasing their media investment, how they are spending their media dollar in the post-recession world, and what return they are demanding from that spend."

During the May NewsTalk Live broadcast, Philie will engage in an informal conversation with a sales leader and report on strategies employed by a number of other companies whose executives he has interviewed in advance for the program. "These are sales leaders whose observations will be both insightful and practical," says Philie. The broadcast will be moderated by NAPL Senior Consultant Howard Fenton, and attendees may send in questions in advance or during the event.

"This is our third NewsTalk Live program," says Fenton, "and based on the topic and on our previous conversations, I expect it to be a lively interchange of ideas from a variety of perspectives. This won't be a theoretical discussion," he adds. "I know that everyone who attends will gain some keen observations and solid tips they can put into practice in their own sales efforts."

As part of this and all NAPL NewsTalk Live broadcasts, attendees are invited to "Ask the Expert" by submitting questions in advance for live, on-air discussion. Send your questions to [email protected]. Be sure to include your name and contact information.

Each month, NewsTalk Live features an NAPL subject matter expert and one or more guests in an informal, unscripted discussion of a timely industry topic. Previous guests have included Heidelberg USA President James Dunn, and printing company owners Mike Kellogg of Century Direct and Charles Tuminello of KM Media Group.

NewsTalk Live recordings are available for download at www.napl.org/webinars and in the iTunes store (search "NAPL NewsTalk Live"). Those who are interested may also subscribe to the NAPL NewsTalk Live iTunes channel to have new podcasts downloaded automatically into their iTunes account.
